Why work in Moldova?
We could give you way more reasons, but here are the main ones:
There is enough interesting work for everyone.
We continuously have big demand for IT professionals. There are so many job offers that an IT specialist of any profile and level of expertise, can easily find an opening with a good salary. Besides, 85% of the volume of Moldovan IT services are exported, mainly to US companies.
You don't need to pay taxes.
As an employee of MITP resident companies, you do not need to pay the income or insurance taxes. Both of these are covered by a unique tax paid by the employer.
You do not need a visa.
Citizens of CIS countries do not need a visa to enter Moldova. Upon arrival, they can request and obtain a work permit for up to 4 years for IT managers, and up to 2 years for IT specialists, as part of the IT visa program. This applies to both the individuals employed in companies resident in MITP, as well as their family.
It is not strictly necessary to learn Romanian.
Firstly, the language most used in IT companies is English. You will likely need it more than Romanian, while at work. Also, almost everyone in the country understands and speaks Russian. In stores and banks you will likely find someone who can speak with you either in Russian or English, so that is minus one thing to worry about.
It is Europe.
Sure, it is not actually the European Union (yet), but we are already working on it. We work based on European rules and principles, we have visa-free regime, and have even applied already to become a member, currently holding "candidate" status.
Possibility of remote work.
This applies for all the employees throughout the Emergency Situation (until the 23rd of June), including the workers currently not in the country. It is likely that this term will be extended.Low cost of living.
Low cost of living.
The cost of living in Moldova is, on average, 1/3 lower than in any western European country, or country in the EU.
We are a friendly, multicultural people.
Most of the moldovan citizens are bilingual, speaking Russian on a native level, while also understanding or having some level of proficiency in English and French. There are even schools and universities that teach completely in Russian.
